The Macomb Charitable Foundation is a non profit organization run solely by volunteers whose purpose is to REACH OUT to the CHILDREN in our community who are homeless or living below poverty level. It is our desire to provide these children with basic NECESSITIES.
Meet our Board Members
SHELLY PENZIEN - President
Shelly lives in Washington Township with her husband Jerry and their two children Emily and Paul. After attending and subsequently working in the New Haven School District, Shelly began her philanthropic efforts 25 years ago with the Christmas For Kids Program.
That program eventually became the Macomb Charitable Foundation which now assists hundreds of poverty stricken or homeless children each year.

SUSUAN SCHWARK - Treasurer
Sue, along with her husband Bob, and three children, Andrew, Joe and Megan live in Macomb Township. Sue has worked in Finance for over 35 years at TRW OSS in Washington Township. A member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, and serving there on various committees and functions. She also served as Treasurer for Lutheran High North Parent TEAM, for 12 years. Sue believes she is privileged to serve on the MCF Foundation.
WAYNE OEHMKE - Board Member
Wayne and wife Mary are life-long residents of Macomb Township, and the proud parents of Sarah and Gretchen, and they have five beautiful grandchildren. They're members of St. Peter Macomb, where he serves as 1st Vice President. After serving many years as a publisher in the newspaper industry, he currently is president of the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and honored to serve on the Macomb Charitable Foundation board.
JULIE WRIGHT - Board Member
Julie lives in Ray Township with her husband, Brian, and their two sons. As a life-long member of St. Peter Lutheran, Macomb, she has served on several boards and committees, and is currently on the Parent TEAM board at Lutheran High North. Julie has over 25 years experience in Finance, and is employed with General Dynamics Land Systems.
JULIE STANDLICK - Board Member
Julie and her husband Dave have been life long residents of Macomb County. They are proud parents of Joe, Stacy, Dawn and Laura and have three beautiful grandchildren. Julie is a member of Trinity Utica Lutheran Church and serves on the Journey welcome team. She served for 16 years as a Sunday school teacher and has done volunteer work for The Pontiac Rescue Mission and MCREST. Julie is very honored to be part of The Macomb Charitable Foundation.
